Well, I mean, I think he gets entertained too much. That is why he is expecting it of me. He's fine when he is being entertained one on one, but I don't dare share that attention with the other children, or off he goes again. His Mom even suggested that I take him aside and pray with him. That works--while I'm praying. But as soon as I stop, its back to the "whe (sob) my (sob) Mommy (sob) a-yut (sob, sob)?" Cute southern accent, but a bit annoying when you've heard it 30 times in a couple of hours. I really do love the child and I feel horrible talking bad about him. But if it goes on for more than 2 weeks, I am going to have to request he be moved or something. The other day, some of the other children were climbing on chairs, etc. about to hurt themselves and I had to put him down (of course) to help them out and he would start crying again. I can't be only his teacher. There are other kids that need my help too. But since his mom has been helping out at the preschool, we are trying to get him used to it so we won't lose good help. I think if it goes on for a few more weeks, they may have to start looking for good help, cause I won't be... well, I am just ranting. Of course I'm not going to quit over it, but something needs to be done. Its just not good to have to shout at your coworkers to be heard. I think a lot of parents do not teach their kids how to cumminicate, it's sad. They probably just ignore the kid until they scream and then just give them what they want with out telling them they need to say," I want this"...ect. I don't mean to sound like I have it together! I just am aware that I am tempted to treat Lorna as an infirior sometimes. Isn't that awful! I need to be willing to see her as a small vunerable adult with so much potential. Anyway, I am sorry to ramble. I hope your hearing doesn't go bad, I for one know how that can effect things. God bless!Hannahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15071631640143426531noreply@blogger.com
