Another fun project...

Although its not up to PotteryBarn standards, painting this sheet with Aubie was a lot of fun. It was one that I had washed and washed using stain remover after stain remover, but still, couldn't get it to come clean. So, since good baby/toddler sheets are kind of expensive (and this was a good one), I had the idea to paint it. You would think the paint would be itchy, but after one wash, it is almost as soft as the sheet. And Aubie is so proud of the job that we did! She had so much fun. When I put it on her bed tonight for the first time, she said, "Daddy, come look! Come look!" I am not wanting her to stain any more sheets, but it would be fun to paint one again. Also in the picture is the pillow case I made for her little tiny pillow.

Okay! This is the 3rd time I have typed this on here today! Our internet here stinks! When I tried to post my comment it pulled up that "server cannot be found"...ugh! Hey i want to see if this will post before I type more.

Finally! Whew!

As I was saying. I am having a hard time with putting links on my blog. I know that you have to click on the "edit me" icon. I think that it takes you to the borring encrypted page(computer language) and you scroll down until you find the "links" deal(sorry Saige) and you post your address between the inward pointing arrows. I believe the words "edit me" are either before or after the arrows. I hope this helps. I will ask Dana tonight how to explain it better and maybe she can help me with my problem...???

Also! I love the sheet and pillow! Awesome job! They are really cute!

Hi Dana and Kate! Its nice to meet you. I have heard about you guys from Hannah too.
Dana, I just used the acrylic paints that you get in the craft section at walmart for $.88 :) If the paint gets too clumpy (as it did in some of the spots that Aubie did), it obviously isn't very soft. But after I washed it, even those spots werent bad.

Thanks for the info, Hannah. I will have to try to put some links on here tomorrow. I'm sorry that you're having trouble with your internet. We just got cable internet instead of the DSL that we had and it is much slower. So I understand the frustration. I have had to repost some things too because I think it kept timing out or something.

I was previewing that, but it posted anyway. Oh well. Nice to meet you both and thanks for making my day, all of you, by leaving 4 posts. What a happy surprise!
